Die Buntnessel ist eine aus dem tropischen Afrika und Asien stammende Zierpflanze mit schön gefärbten Blättern. Die Laubfärbung der Buntnessel-Sorten reicht von Gelb über Grün, Kupfer und Rot bis hin zu dunklem Violett. Die Buntnessel Rainbow Mix hat eine schöne bunte Blattfärbung mit rot/rosa, grün, gelb und viele Schattierungen dazwischen.

Description
Aussaat & Anbau:
Aussaat ab Anfang März im Topf bei mindestens 22°C. Die Samen, die sehr lange zum Keimen brauchen, bitte nicht abdecken. Sobald die kleinen Pflänzchen 3-5 cm groß genug sind, können sie in Einzeltöpfe pikiert werden. Die Buntnessel bevorzugt einen hellen, aber nicht sonnigen Standort mit einem humusreichen Boden. Stehen sie zu dunkel, verlieren sie ihre schöne Blattfärbung. Sie ist nicht winterhart, deshalb bietet es sich an, sie im Topf zu ziehen. Im Sommer ist regelmäßiges Gießen wichtig, mit möglichst kalkfreiem Wasser. Zum Überwintern holt man die Töpfe einfach ins Haus.
