Dahlia Dwarf Dandy ist eine buschig wachsende Zwerg-Dahlie, die schöne mehrfarbige Blüten produziert, die wirken als hätten sie einen kleinen Kragen. Die Stauden werden maximal 40 cm hoch und bilden ein schönes Farbspiel im Garten. Sehr schön auch für Rabatten oder Balkonkästen. Die Dahlien blühen bis in den späten Herbst hinein.
Aussaat & Anbau:
Aussaat ab Anfang März in Vorkultur (nicht früher, da sonst die Keimlinge zu wenig Licht bekommen und vergeilen). Saattiefe ca. 0,5 cm in Anzuchterde, am besten gleich in Einzeltöpfchen, diese gleichmäßig feucht halten. Ab Mitte Mai können die Jungpflanzen nach draußen (> 12°C). Beetabstand > 40 cm. Dahlien bevorzugen einen vollsonnigen, nährstoffreichen Standort. Zum Überwintern werden die Knollen ausgegraben und am besten in einer Kiste mit Sand kühl (5° – 10°C) gelagert. Dahlien vertragen keinen Frost. Dahlien bevorzugen einen gut drainierten Boden und volle Sonne. Das Ziehen von Dahlien aus Samen ist eine gute Alternative für alle, die keinen geeigneten Platz zum Überwintern der Knollen habe.
