Der echte Schwarzkümmel wächst im südlichen, südöstlichen und westlichen Teil von Asien und in Nordafrika. Heute wird Schwarzkümmel in Ägypten und Südeuropa kultiviert. Die Pflanzen sehen der Jungfer im Grünen, einer Zierpflanze in unseren Gärten, ähnlich.

Aussaat & Anbau:
Schwarzkümmel ist eine einjährige Pflanze, die sich in einem Jahr zur Blüte und zur Samenreife entwickelt und dann abstirbt. Durch die Aussaat von Saatgut kann Schwarzkümmel vermehrt werden. Er sollte in einem Pflanzenabstand von etwa 20 Zentimeter, ab April gepflanzt werden. Sie kann eine größe bis 50cm erreichen und sollte an einem sonnigen bis halbschattigen Platz gesäät werden.
