Für konstrastreiche Beet- und Rabattenpflanzungen. Die Wuchshöhe beträgt ca. 50 cm. Sie wird auch gerne als Schnittblume verwendet.

Aussaat leicht andrücken, nicht mit Erde abdecken (Lichtkeimer!), mit Glas oder Folie abdecken und feucht halten. Nach dem ersten Keimblatt trockener und kühler kultivieren. Pikieren und im April – Juli kräftige Keimlinge mit 30×30 cm Abstand auspflanzen. Liebt Standort in voller Sonne und humusarme, durchlässige, eher saure Böden.
