Die Lobelie Sapphire ist eine blaue Lobelie und eine herrliche Begleitung für andersfarbige Lobelien oder auch für sich allein. Die Pflanzen haben einen kompakten Wuchs und tragen Unmengen der hübschen blauen Blüten, wobei ein kleiner Prozentsatz der Blüten auch lila sein kann.
Lobelien werden auch Männertreu genannt und stammen ursprünglich aus der Kapregion Südafrikas. Durch die kompakte und dichte Wuchsform und die lange Blütezeit bis in den Oktober hinein eignen sie sich hervorragend für Töpfe und Balkonkästen und die hängenden Sorten für Blumenampeln. Wichtig ist, dass die Lobelien immer gleichmäßig feucht gehalten werden. Ansonsten freuen sie sich über einen sonnigen Standort, denn dann bringen sie die meisten Blüten hervor. Regelmäßig düngen.

Aussaat & Anbau:
Aussaat in Vorkultur ab März. Die Samen auf gute Aussaaterde geben und nur leicht andrücken und gleichmäßig feucht halten. Das Abdecken mit einer lichtdurchlässigen Folie ist hilfreich, aber nicht unbedingt notwendig. Das Keimen dauert in der Regel 14 bis 21 Tage. Wenn die Setzlinge groß genug sind, werden in 3er oder 4er Bündeln ausgepflanzt in einem Abstand von 10 cm.
