Diese dekorative Delikatesse ist ein runder Rettich aus dem asiatischen Raum. Er ist auch unter dem Namen „Wassermelonen Radieschen“ bekannt. Red Meat bildet 6-10cm große, runde Knollen mit weißer Haut und magentafarbenem Fleisch. Daher auch der Name Wassermelone. Das Fleisch ist zart mit mildem, leicht nussartigem Geschmack. Eignet sich hervorragend für Salate oder zum Garnieren.

Description
Aussaat & Anbau:
Die Aussaat kann ab März direkt ins Freiland erfolgen. Die Samen sollten in Saatrillen mit einer Tiefe von 1cm gesäet werden. Für ein optimales und gesundes Wachstum sollte der Pflanzabstand 4cm betragen. Ein humoser, nährstoffreicher, durchlässiger Boden ist optimal. Der Boden sollte oberflächlich aufgelockert und mit Gartenkompost und Horngries angereichert werden. Da Radieschen Flachwurzler sind, ziehen sie Ihre Nährstoffe aus der oberen Bodenschicht. Auf gleichmäßige Feuchtigkeit muss geachtet werden.
