Die Schafgarbe Cloth of Gold hat große goldgelbe, weithin leuchtende Blütenstände, die bis zu 1 Meter Höhe erreichen. Sie bilden einen schönen Kontrast zu dem silbergrauen, gefiederten, aromatisch duftenden Laub. Die Blüten kommen besonders in Staudenbeeten und Naturgärten zur Geltung und eignen sich auch gut als Schnittblumen und Trockenblumen. Außerdem sind sie eine Bienen- und Insektenweide.

Description
Aussaat & Anbau:
Aussaat ab März in Vorkultur oder ab Mai direkt ins Freiland. Die Samen nur leicht anrücken. Später in einem Abstand von 40 – 60 cm auspflanzen. Die Goldgarbe braucht einen frischen, durchlässigen, humus- und nährstoffreich Boden und einen sonnigen Standort. Wenn die verblühten Blütenstände regelmäßig entfernt werden, treibt sie eine zweite Blüte. Im Herbst bis Spätherbst erfolgt ein Rückschnitt der Staude bis 20 cm über den Boden. Werden die Stauden zu groß, kann man sie über Teilung vermehren.
