Steckrübe Red Globe ist eine traditionelle Steckrübe, die seit mehr als 150 Jahren angebaut wird. Sie bildet gleichmäßige, kugelförmige Rüben mit einer dunkelroten Haut und weißem Fruchtfleisch. Die Rüben können als Rohkost verzehrt werden. Doch auch gekocht oder gedünstet sind sie eine tolle Gemüsebeilage zu Fleisch und Fischgerichten. Das Kraut der Rübe kann ähnlich wie Spinat zubereitet werden oder liefert als Stielmus die perfekte Grundlage für Suppen und Eintöpfe.

Aussaat & Anbau:
Da Speiserüben recht anspruchslos sind, eignen sich lehmige, sandige, humose Böden ausgezeichnet. Sie können im April an Ort und Stelle ausgesäet werden. Bei Mairüben sollte der Reihenabstand 20 cm, der Pflanzenabstand 10-15cm betragen. Auf eine Ablagetiefe von 3cm sollte geachtet werden. Vor der Aussaat etwas Kompost untermischen. Da Trockenheit die Schossgefahr steigert, sollte in trockenen Zeiten regelmäßig gegossen werden.
