Das Steinkraut, auch als Alyssum bekannt, begeistert als prachtvolle und kompakt wachsende, einjährige Polsterpflanze, die den ganzen Sommer über von Juli bis September unermüdlich schneeweiße Blütenteppiche produziert.
Der süß duftende Bodendecker ist leicht zu ziehen und freiblühend. Steinkraut eignet sich ideal zur Aussaat in Rabatten, Steingärten, Trockenmauern oder Pflasterungen. Besonders für Wegränder und Rabatten stellt der strahlend weißblühende Schneeteppich einen guten Kontrast dar.

Description
Aussaat & Anbau:
Die Aussaat erfolgt ab Mitte März direkt ins Freiland. Die Samen nur leicht mit Erde bedecken. Für eine frühzeitige Blüte, kann es auch im Gewächshaus vorgezogen werden. Steinkraut bevorzugt einen vollsonnigen Standort, es wächst aber auch noch gut im sonnigen Halbschatten. Es gedeiht am besten in durchlässiger Erde.
