Zinnien sind sehr pflegeleicht und einfach im Anbau und liefern den ganzen Sommer über ein farbenprächtiges Schauspiel, wenn Sie regelmäßig die verblühten Blüten entfernen. Sie eignen sich auch hervorragend als Schnittblume für bunte Sommersträuße. Außerdem bieten Zinnien als beliebte Bauerngartenblumen Insekten wie Bienen, Hummeln und Schmetterlingen Nahrung in Form von Nektar.

Aussaat & Anbau:
Die Aussaat erfolgt ab Mitte März in Vorkultur in guter Anzuchterde. Die Samen nur leicht mit Erde bedecken und gleichmäßig feucht halten. Die Jungpflanzen können nach den letzten Frösten langsam ans Freiland gewöhnt werden. Für einen buschigen Wuchs, sollten sie die Haupttriebe kappen. Zinnien bevorzugen einen sonnigen, windgeschützen Standort auf einem normalen, gerne auch lehmigen Boden. Sie kommen auch mit kurzen Trockenperioden gut zurecht. Staunässe sollten sie vermeiden.
